Biografie Ina Arends
Werk van Ina Arends bij KUNSTUITLEEN.NLGrowing up at sea as a sailors daughter, imagination and fantasy were nourished by her childhood journeys. Gazing for days at waves and clouds, not knowing where the next adventure would turn up in another city, another country.
She studied painting at the art academy and started her career as an artist in Amsterdam. After a number of scholarships from the Dutch fund for visual arts, it was time to pack her bags in search of new adventures. A long voyage on a coaster, an impressive trip to the New York museums, and after Lisbon she started to hang out in Paris for quite some time, before taking root in Brussels for years.
Interdisciplinary working always had her interest, and she started collaborating in the dance and performance world, She worked for a creative laboratory, and a decade in the top of the food design world. She was able to manage many high level exciting projects and was able to travel to Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Paris, Taipei, Kiev, Madrid. But finally Ina is and remains an visual artist and she is very happy to be back at her roots to create beautiful artworks again. Working from her large studio surrounded by nature in a small village near the biggest lake of Holland. Back to the roots, clouds and water, all registers open.
