About Maya Zeeman
The influence of the Caribbean and Portuguese regions, where she often paints, is unmistakable in Maya Zeeman’s work. Her statement, “Where emotion and passion prevail, words fall short,” is characteristic of her work. After an active career as a director, it was these thoughts that led Maya Zeeman to decide to devote herself entirely to painting. Her work is powerful, and her use of color is exceptionally vivid.
