Frank le Jeune

Frank Lejeune is a self-taught Dutch abstract artist who was born in Northampton, United Kingdom. Lejeune initially worked at a company and painted in his spare time. When he was 30 years old, Lejeune decided to change his life and embrace the uncertainties that come with becoming a professional artist. His work was well-received and sold well, which boosted his confidence. Lejeune works primarily with acrylic paint because it dries fairly quickly, which suits his fast-paced working style and the way he handles the paint. Primary colors are often prominent in his work. His paintings and lithographs evoke nature and sometimes even resemble concrete depictions of landscapes. In addition to his graphic work and paintings, Lejeune creates vibrantly colored ceramic sculptures.
