Cen Art

Large, compelling works that capture the imagination. Space has been deliberately left open for personal interpretation. This is characteristic of Cen’s work. Her work is layered and powerful, yet also fresh and daring. She brings together different art media in a logical or illogical coexistence.

By experimenting with techniques directly on the canvas, she creates surprising scenes. The materials Cen works with are always different. Sand, spray cans, Indian ink, and stencils are materials that frequently appear in her work. She is always on the lookout for unique images that inspire her, as well as for materials that are distinctive and can be incorporated into her canvases.

Cen Art’s studio is located in the Amsterdam Art Center, surrounded by countless well-known and inspiring artists. Peter Maasdam is a major source of inspiration and motivation. With his unique perspective on art and his own experience as an artist, he contributes his keen eye to enriching the artworks. “Take your time when creating art. Creating is about maintaining peace of mind. Observe and experience as much as possible. When it’s finished, you’ll feel it. Then it’s right. The image itself will signal that it’s complete.”
