Thomas Bogaard

Thomas lives in the world of his creations, and he finds nature’s formal language so fascinating that he wants to capture its beauty. This can include majestic landscapes in Provence or the Languedoc, but also the countryside around Bergen. He creates his interpretations of these landscapes both on location and in his studio. Thomas Bogaard views this as an exploration of styles and abstractions. The latter is particularly evident in the many layers that make up his paintings. His fascination with light, form, rhythm, color, and depth plays a significant role in this process. These elements not only create the illusion of a landscape but, when done well, also evoke the feelings associated with it. Taken as a whole, Thomas Bogaard’s work exudes an atmosphere of scents and colors. Those who take the time to look will discover the endless beauty of nature in his paintings. A powerful experience for anyone seeking the romance of tranquility.
