Pim Smit

Music and visual art are the great passions in the life of this remarkable Dutchman. In 1999, Herman Brood opened Pim’s first major exhibition at Café Dante in Amsterdam. They had been close friends for a long time and also made music together. For Pim, Herman Brood was therefore a great source of inspiration.

Pim Smit has never had to choose. He does it all: composing music, giving solo performances (from the Statenhal to the Concertgebouw), designing clothing (including for DJ Tidsto), and, of course, painting. All his creative expressions are, therefore, always quintessentially Pim Smit.

His life motto:
