Jorieke Westhoff

Jorieke Westhoff is a photographer who lives in a small village in the Betuwe region. While taking one of her many photography courses, she happened to come across urbex photography, also known as urban exploration. This branch of photography revolves around capturing the beauty of faded glory. Subjects can include abandoned churches, industrial sites, hospitals, castles, tunnels, and vehicles. She quickly became captivated by this rather unique branch of photography.

Finding her subjects is a challenge in itself. The satisfaction is immense when she can capture them in her images, allowing the decay and unique character of a building to reach the outside world. You can find some of the results of her many adventures—especially those abroad—in our collection.
