Ans van Dijk

Ans van Dijk was born Ans de Bie on January 30, 1962, as the daughter of the painter Adriaan de Bie, a descendant of the illustrious De Bie family of painters.

Starting in 1984, she attended the Art Academy in Den Bosch, followed in 1988 by a year at the world-renowned Art Academy in Florence, where she further developed her watercolor technique.

From 1989 to 1997, Ans van Dijk worked as a graphic designer and illustrator; she also taught watercolor painting.

Since 1997, she has been a full-time artist, and since then her work has been acquired by dozens of art galleries, art lending centers, and private collectors in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
