About Wilma van Opstal
After completing my training as a jeweler in 1987, I pursued a degree in gemology, specializing in the study of cut gemstones. During my research, I used a microscope to discover artistic traces that nature left behind millions of years ago within the interior of gemstones. The more closely I examine gemstones under a microscope, the more I marvel at their beauty and diversity. Time and again, I discover new vistas and am fascinated by the dazzling colors and shapes at the microscopic level.
