It is expressed through an explosion of colors and the radiating positive energy. Her painting is instinctive. The abundance of effects using primary colors—and especially the sense of movement—are inspired by all the impressions she gathered during her travels. She radiates life like a modern nomad, and her artworks are spontaneous, wondrous stories. Marianne Y. Naerebout was born in 1958 in Rotterdam. She studied at the St. Joost Academy of Fine Arts and at the Cyprus College of Art. She lived for ten years in Oman, Syria, Malaysia, and Gabon. She has been living in the Netherlands again since late 1993. Naerebout has exhibited in Oman, Syria, Jordan, and the Netherlands. Her works are included in private collections and have been acquired by companies and institutions, including Rabobank, Shell, Porceleyne Flesch Delft, and Oxbow. She creates paintings (acrylic and oil), wooden objects, silkscreen prints, mirrors, and ceramics.
