Edwin Emmens

My work is composed of fragments of realism, consisting of old found photographs and slides, images from the internet, and my own photography. Sometimes the image is a single fragment, but often it consists of a collage of images. Brought together, they form a new reality that explores contrasts, line work, color, rhythm, and abstraction. My images often balance on the edge between the realistic and the abstract.
