Ard Bodewes

I was born in 1966 in Hoogezand Sappemeer, in the province of Groningen.

I’ve been taking photographs since the 1990s. In my photos, I’m often looking for a specific pattern of lines or symmetry. That’s why (modern) architecture appeals to me so much. During my travels, my eye is often drawn to natural symmetry, which I try to capture. My work is available for purchase on a medium of your choice. Personally, I prefer Dibond: this is a thin (3mm) panel made of aluminum and plastic that has a sleek appearance, is colorfast, and is light-resistant.

In the late 1990s, I took two courses at the photography school in Apeldoorn to further my development.

In recent years, I have won several awards and have had my work published in various publications: Architectuurnl, America magazine, Reizen, Grande, and In beeld.
