Roelof Hofman

From a young age, Roelof J. Hofman was fascinated by drawing and painting. From the age of eight, he began seriously developing his technique and style. Eight years later, he began an apprenticeship with the Rotterdam painter Cornelis Witters. He started out drawing but soon switched to painting. While he painted primarily in the classical style during his early years, in his later life he devoted himself more to surrealism and magical realism. Born May 14, 1956; died November 3, 2022
