Kees Vlietman

Kees Vlietman is an outdoor painter. Whenever possible, he heads out with colleagues to find inspiration in nature—for example, in the South of France—where he draws inspiration from the landscape. Vlietman incorporates weathered rock formations, the river, a waterfall, and an immense ravine into his paintings. He tries to capture the tension in the landscape by using primary colors or by highlighting certain features of the landscape.

For Vlietman, nature is a subject he can explore endlessly; it is a world with an unlimited wealth of forms and colors. “But that’s not all,” says Vlietman, “because nature also looks different at various times of the day and throughout the seasons.”
