Jalinka Gressmann (1976) works as an independent artist in Amsterdam and teaches creative workshops and courses for children, as well as
experimental poetry collage and various drawing and painting workshops for adults.
She earned her Bachelor of Fine Art in Intermedia in 2004 from the Utrecht School of the Arts.
Her work is a spontaneous manifestation of her vision, fascinations, and visions, which always develop in an associative, experimental, and playful manner.
The results can be seen in her—often surrealistic—(self)portraits, collages, assemblages, photography, and drawings.
In addition to her personal work, she creates commissioned collage portraits.
She regularly exhibits in galleries (Stichting Verbeke, Kunstruim, Het Depot BG, Chiellerie) and cultural venues (Roest, De Nieuwe Anita, Phoenix 13)
and was an Artist in Residence in Portugal (Moinhos do Dao, 2015) and Brazil (Pachamama Atelier, 2017–2018).
