Geert Vrijdag

Geert Vrijdag studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg and the Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven. He painted exclusively abstract works from a meditative perspective, without any preconceived ideas or images and without any premeditated plans. "From the silence of the white canvas, we come into contact with movement, color, and form."

His work can be found in private collections as well as in those of companies and institutions.

After his death in 1999, a gallery was established next to his home where his work is exhibited.

Since 1988, he has exhibited his work on numerous occasions throughout the Netherlands, and his work was featured at the European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) in Maastricht.
