Bas van Oudheusden

Bastiaan Cornelis (Bas) van Oudheusden is a graduate illustrator from the Utrecht School of the Arts. Long before that, he was inspired by street art and graffiti, and this influence is still clearly evident in his work. Public spaces often play a central role in his projects. Painting on canvas has a different dynamic but is no less interesting for that. Painting involves a kind of journey of discovery, working layer by layer toward an unknown result.

Bas prefers to explore multiple creative fields. His portfolio spans graphic design, visual arts, product design, and illustration. He has also curated small-scale exhibitions in public spaces under the name “Binnenstebuiten Expo.” He developed a passion for painting in 2005 and has continued to paint with stencils ever since.
